Set up RustCam Desktop.
The desktop app runs on Windows and Mac with your licence and your own Decart API key. Decart bills you directly for live time, so there is no RustCam wallet to top up.

Get a licence
Buy a RustCam Desktop licence. Your licence key arrives by email and is also shown in your account under Licences.

Download and install
Download the installer for Windows (10/11, 64-bit) or Mac (Apple Silicon or Intel), open it and follow the steps. The app updates itself; use Help → Check for Updates any time.

Activate your licence
Open RustCam Desktop and enter your licence key and the email you bought it with. Each licence works on one computer; ask support to move it to a new one.

Create a Decart API key
Sign in at platform.decart.ai, add credits, then create an API key. Credits belong to the Decart organization the key is made in, so create the key in the organization you funded.

Add your key to the app
Open Settings (Ctrl+, or Cmd+,), paste your key, press Test, then Save. You can also paste it in the Access box of the studio. It stays saved on this computer until you change it.

Go live
Allow your camera, choose a look and press Start. Live time is billed by Decart on your key, not by RustCam. Press Stop when you are done.
Quick fixes.
Decart says the key has no credits
Credits belong to the Decart organization the key was created in. Make sure the key comes from the organization you funded, then press Test in Settings; it shows Decart's own reply.
My key is gone after restarting
Save it in Settings (Ctrl+, or Cmd+,) or paste it in the studio's Access box and click away; it then stays on this computer until you change it.
The app switched to offline mode
Choose Reconnect when it says the server is back, or restart the app. Update to the latest version (Help → Check for Updates); it no longer drops to offline mode during a session.
It asks me to top up a wallet
You don't need wallet credit on desktop: your Decart key pays for live time. Update the app and reconnect.
New computer?
A licence works on one computer. Request a transfer from the licence screen or contact support, and we'll move it.
